Job Description
Underwriting Operations Analyst Break into the insurance industry and work a hybrid schedule in this direct-hire Underwriting Operations Analyst role in Portsmouth, NH! Our client needs a strong communicator to quote insurance premiums and policy changes, among other tasks. This position offers lots of opportunity for growth within the company and a great benefits package. Responsibilities of the Underwriting Operations Analyst Review new business and renewal applications Review requests for policy changes Verify all pertinent information to produce accurate quotes, policies, and endorsements Research and obtain missing rating information by utilizing all resources provided Perform calculations to produce accurate and timely quotes and premium charges by using carrier rating systems and other rating sources provided by company Create and maintain rating manuals Review and implement carrier bulletins and release notes Perform additional tasks as assigned Qualifications of the Underwriting Operations Analyst Associate degree required; bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred High attention to detail Proficient with MS Excel and Word Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Rating and/or commercial insurance experience, or basic knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages and rating principals preferred Certificate in General Insurance (AINS - Intro, Ethics, INS21, INS22, INS23) or ability to obtain one within the first year of hire preferred The Underwriting Operations Analyst works Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm for $50K-$52K/year, DOE.
