The Process Optimization Manager is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of chemical processes.
What you will be doing:
Actively promote HSE and regulatory compliance initiatives Work with Ops & Mtc to optimize production and efficiency, utilization of CAPEX, and minimize
FMC, VMC
Manages Capital Project list and priorities Serve as Site Process Safety Coordinator and the Site PSM focal point; a final backstop on all site MOCs[NR1.1] Lead efforts at unit to drive technology enhancements, innovation and process automation Drive closure of action items related to PHA and Audit findings Direct Manager of Process Improvement Engineers (2 Direct Reports) Training, development and knowledge transfer for Operators, Engineers, and managers Drive Implementation of
SUMO / CPT / TSIP
practices in Acid Units Support Implementation of MI/TPM Initiatives to achieve Target OST and OEE Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems Analyze Unit Variable Manufacturing Costs for control and drive appropriate improvement Participates in panel discussions, and debates. Speaks extemporaneously on a variety of subjects to employees within the company. Enforce all plant policies, procedures, and HSE Expectations for
Leaders and Employees Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university preferably in chemical engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Min of 7
  • 10 years in chemical process industry with background emphasis in production processes, inventory, and shipping activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Will utilize shop math including practical application of fractions, percentages ratio and proportions Proficient with Aspen and Power BI suite of software tools for modeling and optimizing operations. Comfortable with standard office computer packages, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Project, etc. Proficiency in SAP and other Enterprise Resource Planning software. High proficiency in process monitoring software, such as Aveva PI Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker s Identification Credentials (TWIC) 8 Hour Days / 5 Days per Week 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM; or 9/80 work schedule ~ M-Th 7:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM; Fridays alternate 1 off and the other 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM On call rotation
