Job Description

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Leader to drive operational excellence initiatives across production and supply chain operations in the greater Richmond
  • Ruther Glen area for their night shift. This is a 100% on-site opportunity. NOTE
  • Hours for this shift are: Monday
  • Thursday:
    330PM
  • 530AM (Four Ten Hour Shifts) This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and change management within electrical manufacturing or automotive manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead continuous improvement and lean transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations Identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions to improve productivity, quality, and throughput Drive Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction activities Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams Develop KPI tracking and performance reporting to measure operational improvements Support and mentor teams in building a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience (10 plus years) leading lean transformations in a manufacturing, supply chain, or service industry environment. Strong understanding of lean principles, including value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction techniques. Demonstrated expertise in change management, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop data-driven solutions. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Identify and understand the speech of another person.
