Build Teams. Drive Success. Mobile Flea Market is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of the Gulf Coast's premier flea market destinations. This leadership role is responsible for the successful management of Food & Beverage Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, and Janitorial Services while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, vendors, and team members. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for developing teams. Comprehensive Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match DailyPay Available Company Phone Stipend Free On-Site Parking Leadership development and advancement opportunities Internal promotion opportunities NMFA Scholarship Program Employee discounts Discounted meals Employee recognition programs Supportive and team-oriented work environment Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Oversee daily operations of Food & Beverage, Facilities, Grounds Maintenance, and Janitorial departments Ensure all departments are fully staffed, operational, and ready for business each day Manage scheduling to ensure proper coverage across all departments Lead, coach, and supervise employees while promoting accountability and teamwork Assist with market events, promotions, and special projects Facilities & Maintenance Management Direct preventative maintenance programs for facilities, equipment, and operational assets Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and carpentry-related issues Maintain and repair concession equipment, food carts, refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, restrooms, and marketplace infrastructure Evaluate repair needs and identify cost-effective solutions to reduce outside vendor expenses Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are available, maintained, and operational Team Leadership & Development Train employees on safety procedures, operational standards, and company policies Conduct performance coaching and provide ongoing employee development Maintain staff certifications and required documentation Foster a positive, productive, and respectful workplace culture Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and OSHA regulations Implement corrective and preventative measures related to health and safety standards Promote a culture of workplace safety and operational excellence Maintain a valid ServSafe Manager Certification Property & Grounds Management Oversee general cleanliness of the marketplace, restrooms, grounds, and common areas Supervise lawn maintenance, landscaping, painting projects, and facility improvement initiatives Monitor traffic flow and parking operations and address issues proactively Assist team members with trash and debris removal throughout the property Inventory & Resource Management Maintain accurate Food & Beverage inventory records Receive and manage concession deliveries Fuel company vehicles, equipment, and fuel containers as needed Manage project materials, budgets, timelines, and completion schedules Communication & Administrative Support Utilize phone, radio, email, and other communication tools to ensure efficient operations Maintain operational records and reports Support basic office operations and administrative functions Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Leadership Skills Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees Strong delegation, coaching, and team-building abilities Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Operations Expertise Strong organizational and project management skills Experience coordinating multiple departments and competing priorities Ability to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions Technical Knowledge Working knowledge of: Electrical systems Plumbing systems Mechanical equipment Refrigeration systems HVAC systems General carpentry and facility maintenance Communication & Professionalism Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities Professional, dependable, and solution-oriented mindset Qualifications Minimum 3 years of management, operations, facilities, maintenance, or related leadership experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Technical certifications or trade experience are a plus ServSafe Manager Certification required or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire Valid driver's license preferred Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as business needs require Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check At Mobile Flea Market, great operations create great experiences.
