With over 30 years of experience, JHC has delivered energy efficiency services, such as replacing HVAC systems, installing new appliances and water heaters, and weatherization to thousands of households under contract by the southern California utilities and the State of California. Position Overview The Field Operations Supervisor leads the Field Organization and is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to the delivery, installation, and maintenance of energy efficiency and construction services. This role works closely with the Operations Manager to develop and execute department strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational goals. Acting as the key link between the Operations Manager and field teams, the Field Operations Supervisor ensures consistent execution of field operations, standards, and processes while driving improvements in efficiency, communication, and accountability across the organization.

Pay Range:

$72,000 - $84,000 plus performance bonus Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations across multiple crews and projects Serve as escalation point for issues from Field Supervisors Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with utility programs, building codes, and safety regulations Develop and implement quality control programs Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to plan and schedule work Prepare and submit weekly production and performance reports Supervise subordinate supervisors responsible for field technicians across multiple trades (HVAC, insulation, weatherization, appliance installation) Align labor resources with workload demands; anticipate and mitigate bottlenecks Interpret contracts, installation manuals, and manufacturer specifications Investigate incidents, delays, or damages and ensure proper procedures are followed Adjust plans in response to weather, staffing shortages, or project delays Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure timely material availability Work with Compliance Team to secure permits and licenses Implement technical training programs to enhance team capabilities Drive consistency in field execution, processes, and standards Improve communication and accountability across field teams Support hiring and onboarding of field staff Required Skills Strong knowledge of energy efficiency concepts, residential building code and Title 24 Proven leadership, mentoring, and team development abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong customer service orientation Ability to perform effectively under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of proven experience supervising field teams High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of construction experience 2+ years of customer service experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must pass background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Multilingual capabilities Experience with utility programs and Installation Standards Manual Industry certifications such as: North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Building Performance Institute (BPI) Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) Community College or Trade School certifications
