Bell, CA Hours:

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Freight Operations Supervisor with a strong background in 3PL, distribution, or manufacturing operations. This hands-on leadership role combines floor supervision, process optimization, and team development to maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:
Lead and mentor warehouse teams, oversee daily operations, and ensure smooth workflow across picking, receiving, put-away, and freight order processing.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain OSHA-compliant operations, conduct audits, and serve as a certified Train the Trainer for safety programs.
Operational Excellence:
Apply Lean and 5S methodologies to identify inefficiencies, optimize processes, and monitor KPIs.
Quality & Standards:
Serve as an
ISO 9001
auditor, ensuring compliance with all work instructions and SOPs.
Freight & Carrier Management:
Negotiate rates with carriers and manage LTL/consolidated shipments efficiently.
Communication & Reporting:
Provide updates, escalate issues, complete documentation, and support scheduling and workflow coverage. Proven experience in warehouse supervision or logistics management within a fast-paced distribution environment. Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse management systems (WMS), and materials handling procedures. Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other mechanical equipment required for heavy lifting. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse settings. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a logistics or e-commerce environment. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment is a plus. Qualifications Proven supervision experience in 3PL, distribution, or manufacturing Experience handling LTL / consolidated shipments OSHA certification and safety training experience (Train the Trainer preferred)
