Job Description
Metroll US is part of the overall Metroll Group. Metroll is a global manufacturer of metal building materials. Through the hard work and commitment of our employees, we have grown into a successful company with over 40 manufacturing plants across the globe. Metroll is committed to aggressively grow our presence in the Western United States. The Opportunity The Account Manager of Strategic Partnerships is the cornerstone of Metroll's strategic growth. Our Account Managers are highly adept at quickly synthesizing the key issues facing a customer — whether that's lead time pressure on a self-storage build-out, a technical equivalency question on a deck specification, or a pricing structure that needs to flex with the steel market — and developing innovative, customized solutions to fit them. This position requires gathering information to discover customers' needs, streamlining technologies and workflows to create operational efficiency, and identifying goals for higher customer engagement. Our largest customers don't just buy product from us — they rely on Metroll as an extension of their own operations, and the Account Manager is the person who makes that relationship real. Account Managers meet with customer executives weekly, virtually or in-person, to review performance, walk through active projects, address customer concerns, and measure overall satisfaction with Metroll's products and services. The Ideal Account Manager The ideal candidate is: Enthusiastic and professional with strong analytical skills. A talent for turning objectives into actionable items. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work well with people, with an overall "get it done" attitude. Energized by problem-solving and managing through ambiguity. Driven by constant challenges to deliver superior results. Skilled at anticipating client issues and implementing solutions before they escalate. Technically curious — willing to learn the difference between a B-Deck and a W2-Deck, what an ICC-ES evaluation report covers, and why a customer's detailer cares about flute spacing. The Responsibility Account Managers work closely with customers to expand our customer footprint.
That involves:
Identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts and across the broader Western US market. Developing strategies for building positive, durable relationships with prospects and decision-makers. Monitoring customer satisfaction levels and acting on what you hear before the customer has to ask twice. Collaborating with cross-functional teams — estimating, production scheduling, engineering, logistics, and credit — to develop solutions based on customer needs. Negotiating and administering commercial structures that reflect the relationship: blanket pricing agreements, index-linked pricing, project-level release orders, and inventory hold programs where appropriate. Quarterbacking major projects from RFQ through delivery, making sure promises made at the quote stage are kept at the dock. Taking full responsibility for the customer experience from end to end. Continuing to self-educate about the industry, our products, and their applications — load tables, gauge selection, code compliance, competitive cross-references. Exercising strong listening skills, including active questioning and probing for information, facts, and details. Why Metroll? At Metroll, we are all about aptitude and enjoying the journey. We believe there is strength in diversity and actively encourage our teammates to challenge the status quo in the service of delivering as a team. We're on the path to become America's #1 metal building manufacturer, and to get there we need dedicated people who always strive to be better today rather than wait to be perfect tomorrow. Our customers are at the heart of everything that we do, and we're looking for Account Managers who can communicate our mission persuasively and effectively.Job Type:
