This proactive and adaptable leader will drive strategic growth, oversee financial performance, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will leverage their hands-on experience in establishing a trucking business to support our broader freight forwarding and logistics objectives. Hanjin is seeking a proactive and experienced Trucking Manager to lead and grow our domestic transportation operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Setup & Growth:
Lead the launch and expansion of the trucking department by establishing core operational processes, policies, and expanded geographic coverage.
Daily Operations & Coordination:
Manage daily trucking activities including dispatch, routing, scheduling, and capacity planning. Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams (freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs) to deliver reliable transportation solutions.
Financial Oversight:
Support budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning for the trucking operations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, CHP, TSA, and CBP.
Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (oral and written). 5+ years of leadership experience in trucking, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations. Demonstrated success in establishing, launching, or significantly expanding a trucking line of business. Deep understanding of domestic transportation networks, carrier relationships, and global supply chain operations (including NVOCC, air/ocean freight, drayage, and port/airport logistics). Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), dispatch software, and logistics technology platforms.
