EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Salary:
$150,000-$190,000 DOE, plus annual performance incentive Staff4America is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a highly respected, physician-led healthcare organization located in Marin County, California. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Operations to oversee the operational, financial, administrative, and personnel functions of a growing private medical practice. This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Medical Officer. The successful candidate will be a strategic and hands-on healthcare leader with substantial experience in private practice management, financial oversight, staff leadership, and organizational growth. Healthcare experience is not optional. Candidates must possess a significant background in medical practice administration and healthcare operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership Direct and oversee all day-to-day clinic operations Ensure efficient workflows, exceptional patient service, and operational excellence Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance standards Monitor key performance indicators and organizational benchmarks Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient experience, and profitability Ensure organizational compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and best practices Financial Management Prepare and manage annual operating budgets Develop financial forecasts and revenue projections Generate, analyze, and present monthly financial and operational reports Monitor revenue, expenses, productivity, and organizational performance Collaborate closely with outside accountants, bookkeepers, and financial advisors Support executive leadership with strategic planning and financial decision-making Human Resources & Team Leadership Supervise administrative and clinical support staff Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and service excellence Partner with Staff4America to coordinate human resources administration, payroll processes, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance support, and recruiting activities Assist with onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives Support leadership in attracting and retaining high-performing team members Strategic Leadership Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational planning and growth initiatives Evaluate operational performance and recommend process improvements Support practice expansion, service line development, and long-term strategic objectives Serve as a trusted operational advisor to physician leadership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership and management experience Significant experience managing private medical practices Demonstrated experience preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and operational reports Strong understanding of healthcare operations, staffing, workflow management, and patient experience Experience managing and developing professional teams Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills High degree of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and accountability Preferred Qualifications MBA, MHA, or related advanced degree CPME, MGMA, FACMPE, or other healthcare management certification Experience within concierge medicine, cash-pay healthcare, integrative medicine, functional medicine, wellness, longevity, executive health, and physcian -owned practice environments Experience working directly with physician owners and executive leadership teams Culture & Mission Fit Our client is a physician -led healthcare organization dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health, vitality, and longevity through a highly personalized approach to care. $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
