Primary Function The Elementary Site Coordinator is a dedicated, energetic, and positive team member responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for youth at our elementary sites. This role supports youth development, builds self-confidence, and fosters leadership skills while ensuring program quality and safety. The Elementary Site Coordinator works closely with the Elementary Program Coordinator and Director of Programs to implement engaging activities, mentor Youth Development Professionals (YDPs), communicate with families, and maintain strong relationships with youth and staff. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Implementation Support and guide YDPs in implementing daily programs across the Club's core areas: Character & Leadership, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. Lead activities as needed to ensure high-quality programming. Recognize and celebrate member achievements (e.g., Youth of the Month). Assist in creating and maintaining weekly site schedules. Safety & Supervision Provide active supervision of youth during all program hours. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized program environment. Support staff in managing youth behavior and implementing positive discipline strategies. Promptly report safety concerns to the Elementary Coordinator and Director of Programs . Follow all safety protocols, including Emergency Procedures, Crisis Management, and First Aid/CPR. Family & Community Engagement Serve as a point of contact for families, providing professional, friendly communication. Share updates regarding youth behavior, successes, and concerns. Maintain confidentiality while ensuring families are informed and supported. Uphold the Club's reputation through respectful, culturally sensitive, and inclusive interactions. Administrative & Compliance Track daily attendance and ensure accurate parent/guardian sign-in and sign-out. Maintain organized and up-to-date member records and membership binders. Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required. Follow all Club policies and procedures, including the Staff Code of Conduct. Professional Standards Positively influence youth, staff, and volunteers. Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and teamwork. Collaborate with the Elementary Coordinator and Director of Programs to support staff and improve program quality. Exhibit professionalism in communication, appearance, and behavior. Qualifications Required Minimum 18 years of age with valid ID. High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of experience in youth programming, classroom leadership, or childcare. Strong organizational and youth supervision skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and engage in physical activity. Clean driving record (to qualify for operating Club vans). Preferred College coursework or Bachelor's Degree in progress. Bilingual in Spanish (spoken and written). Current CPR/First Aid certification. Flexibility for occasional weekend events and special programs.
Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
