Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Experience in consumer hardware design, mass production, and manufacturing processes. Experience in factory yield, assembly automation, and supply chain operations.
Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience analyzing complex datasets and building data visualizations or dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., FMEA, statistical tools) and failure analysis. Experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycles for hardware products. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As the Product Operations System Technical Program Manager, you will provide operational technical leadership to scale high quality, sustainable and profitable products on schedule. You will be the operations technical representative working with cross-functional technical teams for the development of new products. You will utilize knowledge of the Contract Manufacturers (CM)/Original Design Manufacturers (ODM) manufacturing environments and will collaborate with professionals to ensure products are built to Google's standards The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world. Responsibilities Lead cross-functional operations teams through the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring technical readiness from initial design to mass production. Drive continuous operational improvement by optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing factory yields, and implementing effective quality control strategies. Serve as a key technical resource, executing operational strategies and resolving complex challenges to ensure consistent product excellence and program health. Collaborate with engineering and design partners to align equipment requirements, validate technical solutions, and manage risk mitigation throughout all program phases. Foster cross-functional synergy and operational transparency, and driving efficiency initiatives to lead the open issues to closure.
