In this vital role, you will oversee the implementation of safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and foster a culture of safety excellence across manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help prevent incidents, promote occupational health, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards. Duties Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSSE policies and procedures aligned with industry standards such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) requirements, and workers' compensation law. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, perform root cause analysis of incidents, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks. Lead emergency response planning, including first aid readiness, CPR training, and coordination with local emergency services. Oversee training & development programs to ensure all team members are knowledgeable about occupational health practices, safety protocols, and environmental compliance. Manage incident reporting processes by documenting investigations thoroughly and writing clear reports to support compliance audits and continuous improvement efforts. Promote a culture of safety awareness through communication campaigns, safety meetings, and recognition programs that motivate employees to prioritize health and safety daily. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and other applicable laws while maintaining accurate records for audits and inspections. Experience Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong focus on health, safety, security, or environmental management. Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, workers' compensation law, and occupational health best practices. Hands-on experience in conducting root cause analysis and report writing related to workplace incidents or hazards. Certification in first aid, CPR, or related emergency response training is highly desirable. Strong understanding of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) principles with experience implementing training & development initiatives for diverse teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead safety training sessions effectively and foster a proactive safety culture.
