Job Description

SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE
(Basic purpose of the job): The Associate GPO & Strategic Partner Marketing Director is responsible for the execution of strategically aligned GPO, Strategic Partner, and EASE (Exelixis Access Services) tactics in coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners and customers. This position involves contract management and budget planning across GPO and Strategic Partner tactics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead tactical execution of GPO, Strategic Partner and EASE (Exelixis Access Services) marketing programs in collaboration with Brand Marketing and Market Access teams. Proactively monitor marketing trends, competitive landscape, and integrate learnings and insights into development of key GPO, Strategic Partner and EASE marketing programs. Contribute to the development of the GPO and EASE strategic plan. Monitor GPO, Strategic Partner, and EASE marketing activity usage, performance, and customer satisfaction to optimize marketing tactics and to drive customer and business outcomes. Successfully manage agencies for GPO and EASE programs, as well as manage external stakeholder relationships. Support the GPO Conference planning process, including creation of conference assets, execution of conference tactics, in collaboration with Key Customer Strategy and Brand Marketing. Successful contract and budget management reconciliation process for GPO and Strategic Partner tactics. Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Finance to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed for various projects. Successfully manage the creation of the content for EASE and GPO projects and oversee review and approval process by Regulatory, Medical, and Legal review committee (RAMP). Liaise with the Market Access, Promotions, KCT, and Sales Training teams to ensure partnership strategies, tactics, and capabilities are effectively implemented through personal and non-personal approaches. Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal and external audiences.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Education:
Master's degree in related discipline and 9 years of related experience; or BS/BA degree in related discipline and 11 years of related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Previous experience in Sales, Market Access, and Marketing preferred. Oncology experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong pharma marketing background, with solid understanding of GPOs, IDNs, the VA, and how pharmaceutical companies partner with such organizations. Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative and creativity. Talent for blending innovation with pragmatic execution. Cross-functional collaboration. Effective prioritization and delegation of activities. Skills to network internally and externally. Ability to draw insight from organizational data to optimize programs and activities. Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals. Strong Project and budget Management along with exceptional problem-solving skills. Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Commercial experience with Access or Managed Care Marketing a plus. Understanding of FDA regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with design and implementation of adult learning programs. Business travel is required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $178,000 - $252,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors. In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan. Exelixis also offers employees the opportunity to purchase company stock, and receive long-term incentives, 15 accrued vacation days in their first year, 17 paid holidays including a company-wide winter shutdown in December, and up to 10 sick days throughout the calendar year.
