We are seeking a hands-on, service-driven Operations Manager to lead daily hotel operations and support our continued growth. Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Maison27, ensuring exceptional guest service while managing Front Office, Café, Housekeeping, and Engineering functions. This role provides operational leadership, team development, compliance oversight, and hands-on support to ensure the property operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including California wage and hour laws and Cal/OSHA standards. The ideal candidate is an engaged leader who thrives in a boutique hotel environment and actively participates in hands on day-to-day hotel operations. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Operations Ensure accurate and hospitable handling of guest reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and payment processing Oversee hotel property management and reservation systems Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery situations Maintain exceptional service standards across all hotel departments Support Front Desk, Night Audit, Housekeeping and Café operations as needed Team Leadership & Development Supervise and support Front Office, Housekeeping, Café, and Engineering teams Train, coach, and mentor team members to support professional development and performance improvement Ensure onboarding and operational training are completed for all new hires Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Monitor guest accounts and support timely collection efforts Research and resolve payment discrepancies and billing issues Assist with month-end close tasks and operational reporting Ensure daily reports, checklists, and operational documentation are completed accurately and on time Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with hotel safety programs, emergency procedures, and security standards Maintain compliance with California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and Cal/OSHA standards Report workplace injuries, hazards, and safety concerns in accordance with company procedures Qualifications Minimum 3 years of progressive hotel operations experience Minimum 2 years of supervisory or department leadership experience Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment Preferred Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field Experience overseeing multiple hotel departments Boutique or independent hotel experience Knowledge of California labor laws and wage and hour compliance Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb stairs as needed Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
