Job Description

A rapidly growing and mission-driven home care organization is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and expand operations in the Bakersfield area. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for operational excellence, team development, compliance, and driving business growth while ensuring exceptional client care. We are looking for a results-oriented healthcare leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality in-home care services. Key Responsibilities Operations & Leadership Lead day-to-day branch operations, including staffing, scheduling, and service delivery Recruit, hire, train, and develop caregivers, administrative staff, and leadership team members Oversee client intake, care planning, and service implementation Track and optimize performance metrics such as client census, retention, and caregiver utilization Financial Performance & Business Development Manage branch P&L, including revenue, expenses, and profitability targets Drive growth through relationship-building with referral sources (hospitals, physicians, assisted living communities, etc.) Develop and execute strategies to expand market presence in the Fresno area Serve as the primary sales leader responsible for increasing client volume Compliance & Quality Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including California Home Care Organization requirements Maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems Lead quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance evaluations Oversee incident management and continuous improvement efforts Client Relations Act as the primary point of escalation for client and family concerns Promote a culture of compassion, professionalism, and accountability Collaborate with regional leadership on policies and best practices
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or related field (preferred)
Experience:
3-5+ years of leadership experience in home care, home health, hospice, or similar healthcare setting Prior experience as a Branch Director, Administrator, or Operations Leader strongly preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance Ability to become a Registered Home Care Aide in California (fingerprint clearance required)
Knowledge & Skills:
