Competitive Salary Based on Experience+ Performance Bonus Opportunities Job Summary CCXpress and CCXchange are seeking an experienced Truckload Operations & Carrier Development Manager to oversee truckload transportation operations, carrier procurement, freight execution, and customer service performance across our asset-based trucking fleet and brokerage divisions. This position requires a transportation professional with strong operational leadership skills who understands fleet utilization, carrier development, freight brokerage operations, truckload capacity management, and customer satisfaction while driving profitability and operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and can balance operational execution with strategic carrier growth initiatives. Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily truckload operations for company assets and carrier partners Coordinate freight coverage, scheduling, routing, and shipment execution Monitor equipment utilization and trailer visibility Support dispatch activities and service recovery efforts Improve on-time pickup and delivery performance Reduce deadhead miles and improve operational efficiency Review lane profitability and transportation costs Coordinate with safety, compliance, maintenance, and customer service teams Assist with SOP implementation and operational accountability Carrier Development & Procurement Develop and manage carrier relationships Source, onboard, and maintain qualified transportation carriers Negotiate carrier pricing and service agreements Evaluate carrier performance metrics including: On-time service Communication responsiveness Safety performance Claims history Cost competitiveness Monitor carrier compliance requirements including insurance and authority documentation Maintain carrier scorecards and performance tracking systems Customer Service & Brokerage Support Support strategic customer relationships Resolve transportation service issues Coordinate shipment visibility and communication Support brokerage operations and load coverage planning Assist with customer retention and growth initiatives Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years transportation industry experience Minimum 3 years' experience in one or more of the following: Truckload Operations Dispatch Management Carrier Procurement Fleet Operations Freight Brokerage Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations Strong negotiation and communication skills Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency Class A CDL background plus Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working within both asset-based trucking and brokerage operations Food-grade transportation experience preferred Experience managing dry vans and refrigerated freight operations Transportation analytics and KPI management experience preferred
Pay:
$53,346.00 - $75,000.00 per year
