This role is not about maintaining the status quo. We need a strong operator who can step into a dynamic environment, bring structure to execution, reduce backlog, and build a high-performing, accountable operation. You will own day-to-day performance across production, operational quality, and scheduling—while driving measurable improvements in throughput, on-time delivery, and operational reliability. This is a leadership role for someone who is comfortable being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and building systems that scale. 1. Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Performance Own overall performance of the Torrance facility across safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC), with accountability for meeting customer commitments Manage the site labor plan Establish daily, weekly, and monthly operating rhythms that drive execution and surface issues early Represent operations in customer audits, escalations, and quarterly business reviews as needed Production Performance & Continuous Improvement Lead daily production execution to meet schedule, with a focus on throughput, on-time delivery, and cycle time Own and execute a backlog reduction plan Partner with planning and supply chain to ensure schedules are realistic, materials are available, and demand-capacity alignment is maintained Drive structured improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies—eliminating waste, reducing variability, and building scalable, repeatable processes Establish and track operational metrics (throughput, OTD, cycle time, scrap, first-pass yield); use the data to prioritize actions and report performance to leadership Quality, Compliance & EHS Own and enforce the site's Quality Management System in accordance with

Maintain a compliant and safe work environment, including injury investigation, ergonomic review, and the site safety committee Ensure consistent adherence to regulatory and audit processes, documentation, and requirements, including readiness, response, and corrective action follow-through Team Leadership & Development Lead and develop a team including production supervisors, technicians, and operators Set clear performance expectations, run regular 1:1s, and manage performance issues directly and promptly Build a culture of ownership and problem-solving: be visibly present on the floor, coaching supervisors and engaging operators on real-time issues Own succession planning, cross-training, and skills development for key production and supervisory roles Facilities, Equipment & Maintenance Ensure equipment, utilities, and facilities are maintained to support uninterrupted production Lead the preventive maintenance program and oversee corrective maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime Coordinate capital projects, equipment acquisition, and facility improvements in partnership with Technical Services Manage relationships with key facility vendors and service providers

Qualifications Required 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations 3-5+ years in a leadership role (Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, etc.) Proven track record of improving production performance, throughput, or delivery metrics Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and capacity management Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar quality-driven environment Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive accountability in a fast-paced setting Data-driven problem solver with strong execution focus Preferred Experience reducing backlog or stabilizing underperforming operations Lean / Six Sigma certification or hands-on experience Experience in multi-shift or complex manufacturing environments Familiarity with
ERP / MRP / MES

Working Conditions Full-time, on-site role in a manufacturing environment Regular presence on the production floor required Occasional off-hours support for critical issues Occasional travel to suppliers or other sites 4. Physical and Ergonomic Requirements Capable of lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally and standing for a few hours at a time Capable of donning PPE, including frocks, hoods, masks, goggles, gloves, and respirators, for brief periods to oversee operational tasks Capable of visually confirming accuracy of handwritten and typed documentation 5.
