SUMMARY:
Oversees and manages all aspects of hotel operations and activities to ensure effective and profitable operation and growth; provides support to the General Manager. An ambassador for the brand and the hotel. Provide leadership and planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Responsible for overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent guest experience while managing between profitability and guest satisfaction measures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and promotes a culture of responsibility for those "Within our Care". Be a brand ambassador; know and represent the Crowne Plaza brand story, local information and be in appropriate uniform at all times. Supports and promotes the vision and direction for the hotel. Contributes to the sales and profitability of the hotel. Maintains a positive and responsive relationship with the associates, vendors, guests and other stake holders. Assists the General Manager in day-to-day operations; acts as General Manager in the absence of the GM. Knowledge of brand, brand systems and requirements Responsible for timely monitoring and management of social media and travel websites Monitors standards for hotel including but not limited to personnel administration and performance, service to guests, social media site responses. Ensures that all guest service programs are in place and being implemented throughout the property. Maintains effective revenue management techniques to maximize hotel revenues; reviews and analyzes financial statements. Monitors hotel budget; manages or contributes to all accounting functions. Monitors overall condition of all guest rooms, public areas, and outside grounds; ensures that deficiencies are rectified. Maintains visibility and accessibility to guests, staff, and vendors; maintains effective communication with all department managers to ensure all areas of hotel are performing at established standards. Ensures that guests' needs are fulfilled and their stay is as pleasurable as possible; responds to guest feedback, including complaints/problems. Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and policies and area's attractions. Develop an understanding of the industry and stay abreast of industry trends; communicates/incorporates information to assure all departments remain current. Assists in any department of hotel as needed. Assist with hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops hotel managers and staff; manages schedules and workflow as needed. Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance. Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions. Prepares and submits timely reports as required Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises all within the operating department(s). Indirectly supervises all employees within all department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems .
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five years' related experience or equivalent; college degree in related field preferred Prior experience overseeing Front Office and HOusekeeping operations required Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates Commitment to excellence and high standards Excellent written and oral communication skills Basic competence in subordinates' duties and tasks Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Proficient on Microsoft Suite, Profit Sword, and brand internet platforms for the brand and management company Excellent customer service skills Proven leadership and business acumen skills Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Creative, flexible, and innovative team player Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook. Bilingual skills a plus. Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
