  • $90,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Operations management Inventory management Heavy equipment operation Logistics Schedule management Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description About the Role We are a growing compost and soil materials company serving residential, agricultural, and commercial customers across Northern Colorado.
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations while ownership focuses on expanding the business in new markets. This is not a desk job. You will be responsible for making sure everything runs-equipment, people, deliveries, and customer experience. If you've ever said, "I could run this place better than they do," this is your opportunity to prove it.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Oversee daily yard operations (material handling, loading, staging, cleanliness) Manage and schedule deliveries, pickups, and spreading jobs Supervise and hold accountable drivers, equipment operators, and yard staff Coordinate equipment use and basic maintenance (loaders, screeners, trucks, spreaders) Ensure orders go out accurately and on time Communicate with customers when needed to keep jobs on track Identify inefficiencies and fix them without being asked Maintain inventory awareness (what's coming in, what's going out) Keep the operation safe, organized, and moving What We're Looking For Proven experience in operations, logistics, construction, ag, trucking, or similar
  • Comfortable managing people and holding a team accountable
  • Mechanically inclined (you don't need to be a full mechanic, but you can't be helpless around equipment)
  • Strong problem-solver who doesn't wait for instructions
  • Able to handle pressure and make decisions when things don't go as planned
  • Organized and detail-oriented without overcomplicating things
  • Willing to be in the yard, not just behind a phone
What This Job Is NOT:
  • Not a corporate middle management role
  • Not a "wait for instructions" position
  • Not a clock-in/clock-out mentality You will be trusted to run the operation-but you will also be expected to perform.
What Success Looks Like:
  • Jobs go out on time without constant oversight
  • Customers are taken care of without issues escalating
  • Equipment is being used efficiently and maintained
  • The yard is organized and productive
  • Problems get solved before they become expensive
Pay:
$65,000.00
  • $90,000.
