Job Description

Dominion Water & Sanitation District, Colorado Field Operations Manager Under the administrative direction of the Deputy General Manager, the Field Operations Manager leads and manages all wholesale water and wastewater operations and maintenance, as well as contract retail water and wastewater operations and maintenance. This role is responsible for developing and executing operations plans, establishing standard operating procedures, managing system performance, and building a high-performing operations team. The position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring active participation in field operations while overseeing staff, programs, and infrastructure. The Field Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant utility operations, while helping scale systems and capabilities to support Dominion's continued growth. The ideal candidate is a senior-level, hands-on operations leader with a strong background in water and wastewater systems, including experience in wastewater operations. This individual thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and is comfortable navigating change as Dominion continues to grow and expand. Dominion is a fast-moving organization where priorities may shift as new infrastructure and operational needs emerge. The successful candidate will embrace this environment and bring flexibility, resilience, and sound judgment to changing conditions.
Education & Experience :
Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field (Bachelor's degree is desirable) Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in water and/or wastewater operations At least five (5) years in a lead or supervisory role
Licenses & Certifications :
Colorado Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection certification
Valid Colorado Driver's License Additional Requirements :
Ability to respond to after-hours operational needs, including emergencies, which may occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
