Job Description

Field Operations Partner Master Built Homes LLC Littleton, CO Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $95,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Operations management Supplier management Construction schedule coordination Schedule management Driving Construction team management Quality standards in production Leadership Full Job Description A Message from Scott Milne, Founder I'm not looking for an employee. I'm looking for a business partner — someone who wants to build something real, take ownership of it, and eventually run and own the business. I'm in my early 60s and I've built Master Built Homes into a respected brand in the Denver metro area. Now I'm ready to bring in the right person to run field operations, grow alongside me, and eventually take the wheel. If that's you, keep reading. This Is Not a Typical Project Manager Job Most job postings look for someone to fill a role. This one is different. We're looking for a future owner — someone who sees this as the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey, not just a paycheck. Master Built Homes has a strong pipeline, a respected name, and an established client base across Denver's most desirable neighborhoods. The founder is ready to step back from day-to-day field operations to focus on relationship-building and growth. That creates a rare opening for the right individual. The person who steps into this role will: Take full ownership of field operations and project execution Manage subcontractors, materials, timelines, and site quality Grow into a trusted business partner over 2-3 years Earn an equity stake based on performance and demonstrated leadership Ultimately have the opportunity to own and operate Master Built Homes, LLC What You'll Be Responsible For Field & Project Leadership Own the day-to-day execution of all active projects — custom homes, additions, renovations, and remodels Coordinate and schedule subcontractors; run sub-meetings and ensure scope completion Manage materials procurement, deliveries, and on-site logistics Maintain the level of cleanliness, detail, and finish quality Manage punch lists and project closeout to the standard of a luxury custom builder Communicate proactively with the founder and, over time, directly with clients Operations & Coordination Build and maintain scheduling systems, supplier relationships, and subcontractor accountability Identify and solve problems before they escalate — you are the person on the ground Ensure every project reflects Master Built's reputation for quality and transparency Support the transition of operational leadership over a defined 2-3 year timeline What We're Looking For We need someone who is wired for ownership — not just management. Here's what that looks like: Required Experience Proven experience in residential construction project management or site supervision Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, materials, and project timelines Familiarity with high-end custom home or renovation projects Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scopes of work, and quality standards Clean driving record; able to travel between multiple active job sites in the Denver metro The Mindset That Fits Highly ambitious, self-directed, and action-oriented — you don't wait to be told what to do You pick up the phone. You don't manage by text alone You're thinking about ownership, not just a paycheck You're ready to be all-in — no contractor lifestyle, no extended absences, no split attention You want to solve complex, meaningful problems — not do routine work You're open to learning, growing, and stepping into an entrepreneurial leadership role What This Role Is NOT This is not a hands-on tool belt position — you manage and coordinate, you don't swing a hammer This is not for someone who wants the freedom to take weeks off on demand This is not for someone who prefers texting over talking This is not for someone looking for traditional employment without ownership upside
The Opportunity:
Path to Ownership Here is the honest picture of what we're offering: Year 1 —
Proving Period:
Competitive base compensation. No equity yet. You're building trust and demonstrating capability. Year 2 —
Performance Evaluation:
Based on results, equity conversation begins. Initial ownership percentage earned through sweat equity contribution. Year 3+ —
Ownership Transfer:
Structured path to majority ownership and full operational control. Founder transitions to a background advisory role. This is a sweat equity model. The right person won't need to bring $200K upfront — they'll earn their way in through results, leadership, and commitment to the business. What You're Getting Into An established brand with over two decades of reputation in Denver's custom home market A strong current pipeline with active projects and warm client relationships A founder who is invested in your success and committed to a real transition Mentorship and access to industry education, training, and mastermind programs through 4 Level Coach A business that can be yours — not just a company you work for How to Apply If this resonates with you, we want to hear from you. Don't send a generic application — tell us your story.
Specifically:
Your background in construction project management or site supervision Why this opportunity appeals to you (not just any PM job — this one) What ownership means to you and why you're ready for it How you prefer to communicate and lead Applications that stand out: specific, direct, no fluff. We'll follow up with a phone call — so make sure you pick up.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Application Question(s): 1. Do you have experience managing sub contractors and site operations without performing hands-on trade work yourself? Yes/No 2. Are you open to a path to ownership compensation structure rather than a traditional salary only? Yes/No 3. How do you prefer communications on active job sites - phone conversation, text, or email?
