Job Description

GAP Community Child Development Center, the premiere child care services provider in the District, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Operations Administrator. The Operations Administrator serves a critical role in supporting the President/CEO and management team in carrying out GAP's mission. The ideal candidate will have great time management skills, experience working with leadership teams and the ability to multi-task. The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing marketing and other strategies to achieve full enrollment.
  • Promoting family engagement.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) contractual and program requirements (e.g., attendance reporting, child care licensing regulations, Pre-Kindergarten Enhancement Program (PKEEP), Child Adult Food Program (CACFP), and Capital Quality requirements.)
  • Determining family eligibility for child care services.
  • Collecting tuition payments.
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting children's attendance.
  • Ensuring that teaching staff personnel records and training requirements are in compliance.
  • Preparing a variety of reports for internal and external use.
  • Opening the Center Monday through Friday. Working hours are 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. includes hour lunch The successful candidate must have:
  • an Associate's Degree in Early Child Education or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred); and
  • three to five years of progressive working experience in an administrative or operations capacity in a center-based early childhood education program.
