Operations Director, Maingate East Development (Orlando, FL): Provide strategic direction to ensure long-term success and sustainable growth of the hotel. Drive operational excellence, optimize resource utilization, and uphold the brands reputation for exceptional service. Oversee HR functions including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and training. Co-ordinate and oversee all Departmental budgets, ensuring we achieve best value in all areas of operations by benchmarking and working closely with local and national suppliers to ensure operational efficiency. Ensure full compliance with employment laws and that management practices mitigate legal risk. Develop a Guest Relations Strategy to ensure the hotel consistently delivers outstanding guest experiences and retains competitive advantage. Promptly address and resolve guest concerns to maintain high satisfaction and loyalty. Lead all major projects in the business operations; oversee the 2026-2028 Renovation Project, working alongside Procurement department and Corporate representatives and internal senior staff and maintenance team to ensure the project is delivered in a timely manner, within budget. Manage other significant projects including changes and updates to the building and carpark, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers for reliable support. Develop a Cyclical Maintenance Programme and lead the Maintenance Team in its successful delivery. Provide corporate teams with regular Project Performance Status Updates, identifying any variances in plans or budget, and outlining corrective actions as required. Supply Chain Management and working within specific time frames and budgets and avoiding penalties. Actively engage with the local community and promote environmental sustainability initiatives. Ensure compliance with brand standards, promote the loyalty program, and maintain an accurate, high-profile online presence. Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety, ADA, fire safety, hurricane preparedness, and food and beverage standards. Pursue new business opportunities and partnerships with local institutions. Collaborate with sales and revenue teams to maximize group bookings and event opportunities. Support the GM in financial management, ensuring accurate billing and minimizing fraud. Collaborate with department heads to implement data protection protocols and staff training to prevent cyber threats and ensure compliance. Actively participate in regional meetings and Brand Standard meetings to develop new and desirable menus and offerings for the brand's food service departments to accommodate the clienteles constantly evolving needs and requirements. Provide leadership to the Food and Beverage Department team on the deliverance of high quality offerings to a wide range of guests. Assess local markets and identify any opportunities to develop a full service kitchen considering all procurement, staffing, menu development inventory.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field and 3 years of industry experience in the hospitality industry. Must have 3 years of experience in the following: 1. Addressing staffing challenges and understanding macroeconomic factors affecting the hospitality sector. 2. Sales and negotiation, including revenue management and data-driven analytics to support business growth. 3. Accounting practices, sales operations, and marketing strategies to drive profitability and brand visibility 4. Financial processes including payment handling, and the use of databases and spreadsheets for operational efficiency. 5. Payment processing systems and protocols to ensure secure and efficient transactions. 6. Training staff on computer systems and operational procedures. 7. Global reservation systems, online travel agents and experience of troubleshooting and resolving global sales and revenue management issues as well as generating income from global sources.
