Art, fashion, wellness, and music are central to Miami's cultural identity and core to The Shelborne's point of view.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Guest Service & Experience:
Greet guests warmly and provide personalized, luxury-level customer service at all times. Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance with seating, towels, amenities, and directions. Ensure every guest interaction reflects the elevated standards and hospitality of Shelborne by Proper. Assist F&B servers with food and beverage delivery, table clearance, and restocking to ensure a seamless poolside dining experience. Communicate guest F&B requests promptly to the appropriate server or supervisor.Pool Area Setup & Organization:
Set up and arrange pool chairs, daybeds, umbrellas, and towels to luxury presentation standards. Maintain an immaculate, visually appealing pool deck and all surrounding areas throughout the day. Ensure F&B condiment stations, napkins, and service supplies at poolside are fully stocked and neatly presented. Reset and refresh seating areas promptly after each guest departure.Cleanliness & Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize pool deck, furniture, and surrounding areas to the highest luxury standards throughout the shift. Monitor the pool area continuously to uphold impeccable cleanliness and presentation at all times. Maintain adequate towel inventory; ensure proper distribution, collection, and replenishment. Clear and clean poolside tables promptly after guest use, including F&B items, glassware, and debris.Safety & Compliance:
Monitor pool area for safety and adherence to facility rules. Enforce pool policies and guidelines in a professional and courteous manner. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents promptly.Team Support & Operations:
Work collaboratively with F&B servers, pool supervisors, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless daily operations. Communicate effectively with the F&B team regarding guest needs, supply levels, and table status. Support overall pool and F&B operations to ensure efficiency, guest satisfaction, and luxury service standards. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in luxury hospitality, resort, or upscale hotel environments strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of pool safety practices preferred. Experience assisting in food and beverage service or in a poolside/beach club environment is a plus. Skills/Specialized Knowledge Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to cleanliness and organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with team members and engage with guests as needed. Ability to stay focused and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and willingness to assist others when necessary to ensure smooth operations. Physical Demands Ability to stand and move around the pool deck and outdoor areas for extended periods, including in warm weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, including trays, dishes, and supplies. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to clean and organize the pool deck and surrounding areas.
