Schedule:
Full-time, Day Shift (No weekends) Position Overview The Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing (CSP) department. This role supports the Director of Surgical Services in leading staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and maintaining the safe, efficient cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments. The supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring quality, safety, and operational effectiveness across the department. Key Responsibilities Operations & Leadership Oversee daily sterile processing operations to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery Assist with orientation, training, and ongoing development of CSP staff Provide supervision and leadership to department personnel Sterilization & Compliance Ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and infection control standards Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to safety protocols Policy & Process Management Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating departmental policies and procedures Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, quality, and consistency Collaboration & Support Work closely with surgical services, nursing teams, and clinical departments Support inventory control and ensure availability of sterile supplies and instrumentation Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Certification from an accredited Sterile Processing (CSP) program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) Experience Requirements 3-5 years of sterile processing experience (required) Prior lead or supervisory experience in an acute care hospital setting (required) For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
