Job Description

PTR Baler and Compactor (PTR), a division of Komar Industries, is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. The company manufactures and services balers, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers. PTR is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team! The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily operations within the production facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the shift with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders. Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to support their professional development and improve performance. Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and maintenance, to resolve production issues and optimize processes. Maintain accurate records of production output, attendance, and any incidents or accidents. Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures, recommending improvements to the Plant Manager, as appropriate Review and forward weekly/monthly cycle counts Review and approve timecards weekly Qualifications 5 -7 years' previous experience in manufacturing or production supervision is required, preferably in the steel or heavy industrial equipment industry. Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly under pressure. Knowledge of production machinery and equipment. Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards. Relevant certifications (i.e., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OSHA 10/30) preferred Highly proficient in computer applications and MRP/ERP systems, NetSuite experience preferred. HP123
