Overview As a District Manager for our Lake Management Company, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and growth of assigned districts, ensuring the highest standards of lake and pond management services are delivered to our clients. You will play a pivotal role in leading a team of professionals, driving operational efficiency, and fostering strong client relationships. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of district operations including lake assessments, vegetation management, water quality testing, and aquatic habitat restoration. Develop and implement strategic plans to meet district goals and objectives. Monitor and manage district budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lake and pond management. Recruit, train, and mentor a team of lake technicians and specialists. Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the district, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner. Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services to existing clients. Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and participate in client presentations. Ensure that all services provided meet the company's quality standards and exceed client expectations. Conduct site inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of lake management activities. Implement corrective actions as needed to address any issues or deficiencies. Prepare regular reports on district performance, including key metrics, financial analysis, and operational updates. Analyze data trends and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Provide recommendations for strategic initiatives and process enhancements. Candidate Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resource Management, or related field is highly desired, Master's degree preferred. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in lake and pond management, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility. Skills & Competencies Proven experience in lake and pond management, including aquatic vegetation control, water quality management, and habitat restoration. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders. Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in lake and pond management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence and willingness to travel within the assigned district as needed. Why Choose Us?
