Job Description

Job Summary Overview:
The Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing daily facility operations, staffing, compliance, and administrative functions. This role works closely with clinical, medical, and administrative teams to ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of care aligned with Florida DCF standards (65D-30) and other regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all operational aspects of the detox facility, including staffing, scheduling, logistics, and quality assurance. Ensure ongoing compliance with all federal, state (especially
DCF 65D-30
), and local regulations. Supervise and support department heads including nursing, admissions, housekeeping, and security. Collaborate with the Clinical Director to maintain integrated, high-quality care. Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and workflows to improve operational efficiency. Conduct internal audits and participate in DCF inspections and licensing renewals. Assist with hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff. Manage facility budgets, expenditures, and vendor relationships. Address client needs and grievances in a timely and professional manner. Lead emergency preparedness and safety protocol implementation.
Qualifications:
Degree preferred, not mandatory (Healthcare Administration or related field). Minimum 2 years of operational leadership experience in a behavioral health or treatment setting. (preferred) Maintain full compliance with Florida Administrative Code Chapter 65D-30, DEA regulations, and all relevant federal and state healthcare laws. Participate in audits, licensing inspections, and accreditation reviews. Ensure documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR/Kipu) usage are in line with compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead during periods of organizational growth and change. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills. Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate analytics into operational strategy and improved client care outcomes. Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and improve systems. Experience Proven experience in operations management, with a strong background in strategic planning and process improvement. Demonstrated success in senior leadership roles, showcasing effective management of diverse teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent negotiation skills with experience in managing vendor relationships. A track record of driving business development initiatives that contribute to organizational success. Exceptional leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and motivating teams towards achieving common goals.
