GBC Facility Services Position Overview GBC Facility Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) to oversee daily custodial operations at The Shul of Bal Harbour . This role is responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and readiness for daily use and events. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and capable of managing a team while maintaining strong communication with both staff and client representatives.

Schedule Afternoon Shift:

Approximately 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM and Morning 7:00AM-3:30PM. Weekend shift Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Team Management Supervise and lead cleaning staff during the afternoon/evening shift Assign daily tasks and ensure completion according to scope of work Train new employees on site-specific procedures and standards Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity Quality Control Conduct routine inspections of all areas including sanctuary, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas Ensure all cleaning meets GBC quality standards and client expectations Address deficiencies immediately and implement corrective actions Cleaning & Operations Perform hands-on cleaning as needed alongside the team Ensure proper cleaning of: Sanctuary and event spaces Classrooms and offices Restrooms and common areas Kitchen and coffee stations Oversee setup and breakdown for events (tables, chairs, etc.) Inventory & Supplies Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment Submit requests for restocking as needed Ensure proper use and storage of all cleaning materials Client Communication Serve as the on-site point of contact during the shift Maintain professional communication with synagogue staff and management Report issues, incidents, or special requests promptly Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols and proper chemical usage Ensure compliance with all company policies and site-specific requirements Qualifications 2+ years of experience in janitorial or custodial supervision Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, active environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Opportunities for growth within GBC Facility Services Stable, long-term position in a professional environment
