Lee Moffitt Cancer Center - 3.9 Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Fiscal management Microsoft Outlook Spreadsheets Data reporting Patient experience leadership Supervising experience Vendor relationship management Vendor communication Leading team collaboration initiatives Cross-functional team management Staffing management Hospital experience Cross-functional communication Operational budget management Facilities budget management Excel data analysis Full Job Description Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Nursing and Ambulatory Operations, the Manager of MAC Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for non-clinical operations across all Moffitt Ambulatory Campuses (MACs), ensuring consistent, efficient, safe, and patient-centered operations system-wide. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations that support the provision of clinical services across multiple specialties and ambulatory locations. The Manager of MAC Operations has direct oversight of Operations Supervisors and is accountable for standardizing processes, driving operational excellence, and ensuring each campus is appropriately supported to meet patient care, service, and business needs. The role collaborates closely with clinical, administrative, and support service leaders to optimize patient throughput, enhance the patient and team member experience, and maintain compliance with organizational policies, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Activities related to strategic initiative execution, operational planning, staffing support models, asset management, fiscal stewardship, and continuous improvement efforts across all MAC locations. Oversight of facility operations, vendor relations, supply chain coordination, property management, emergency preparedness, safety programs, and operational readiness. Leading initiatives involving campus growth, renovation projects, space planning, and technology integration to improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate across multiple departments in a matrixed environment. Demonstrated ability to manage daily operations, resolve complex issues, prioritize competing demands, and drive results in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Knowledge of ambulatory operations, patient flow, service excellence, safety practices, emergency preparedness, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement principles. Experience with electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and other healthcare operations systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Public Administration, or Operations Management. (Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.) Five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, ambulatory operations, hospital operations, or related healthcare environment. Two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience. Experience managing multiple priorities, leading teams, coordinating cross-functional operations, and supporting patient-facing services is required. Experience with budgeting, data analysis, reporting, vendor relations, and resource management required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Ability to travel between multiple campuses as needed.
