Role:
We are hiring Field Directors to join us on an important and exciting campaign to protect reproductive rights. With reproductive rights under attack, you can be the voice for the future! This campaign is centered on empowering citizens and fighting to ensure that everyone can live, thrive, and raise families in healthy communities. When people can make decisions about their own reproductive health care, they have more control over their economic security, their health and well-being, and can build the future they see for themselves. Politicians have no business interfering with private health care decisions. We're fighting to stop this government intrusion and put the power back in the hands of the people. We are hiring for positions that will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers to contact voters on reproductive rights. Thej Field Director will work within the director team to build an office to scale from the ground up. The Field Director is expected to go into the field themselves multiple days per week to canvass, train staff, and lead by example. They must also communicate long and short term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. The Field Director manages canvassers and Team Leads and reports to the Lead Director. We are hiring immediately. This position will run through the end of the campaign.
Location:
Gwinnett County, GA Canvass Management Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 40-60 hourly staff who will canvass door to door to talk to voters about reproductive rights Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals Set goals and hold staff accountable to them Train and provide ongoing motivation and support to staff Identify, promote, and train a leadership team Build a diverse team where staff feel respected while fostering a culture of equity and justice Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the work Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff Develop strategic plans to reach targeted voters in assigned locations Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials
Qualifications:
Must have: Leadership experience; ability to motivate, grow, and manage a large team Eagerness to lead from the front and canvass several days a week Extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to instill that quality in others Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills Strong passion for community organizing and fostering civic engagement Track record of equity and inclusion Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
Nice-to-have:
Experience running paid canvasses or managing paid employees Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities Facilitation experience Local knowledge/experience Experience in and/or passion for reproductive rights
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $1,146 - $1,500 per week. We offer a generous benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, and hands-on training. At the end of the campaign, there may be opportunities for advancement and bonuses.
