This pivotal role involves managing teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring exceptional customer service to drive store success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As an Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment while maintaining operational excellence and achieving sales targets. Duties Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service. Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and cash handling to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Manage employee orientation, scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to maintain smooth store functioning. Implement sales strategies, monitor retail math metrics, and analyze sales data to meet or exceed revenue goals. Coordinate with vendors for purchasing, pricing adjustments, and inventory control to optimize stock levels and reduce shrinkage. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and regulatory requirements through regular supervision and audits. Foster a positive shopping experience by maintaining excellent communication skills with customers and staff alike while handling customer inquiries professionally. Requirements Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities. Strong knowledge of retail operations including POS systems, cashiering, inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and develop talent through training & development initiatives. Excellent organizational skills coupled with time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, sales management, inventory control, and retail sales techniques. Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with phone etiquette expertise for customer interactions. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining focus on store goals. Previous assistant manager or shift supervisor experience is preferred; leadership qualities are essential for success in this role.
