CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
of our current and developing processes for quality, delivery, cost, and innovation GROWTH resulting in the best team, customers, suppliers, and capital providers The Operations Manager will report to the GM, manage, lead, and inspire a team of 50+ production employees through [5] direct reports. In this role, the Ops Manager will lead their team to achieve safety, quality, throughput, and on-time delivery metrics. The Ops Manager will also personally invest in developing employees to nurture a culture based on respect, teamwork, humility, integrity, and results. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to: Manage all aspects of operations to deliver quality products, on time, and at a competitive price for near-term and long-term production: 1. Responsible for achieving budgeted or forecasted earnings Achieve weekly Scorecard measurables Achieve monthly budgeted and forecasted earnings and capital utilization Identify and quickly implement corrective responses as needed 2. Facilitate product launches and ensure milestones are met On-time product launches and on-budget costing and productivity 3. Drive continuous improvement processes Identify improvement opportunities and manage kaizen activities Maintain and expand 5S and Lean practices Build quality throughout the process, not just before it ships 4. Develop operational resiliency to ensure growth objectives for the business despite unknowable challenges Hire and develop succession and cross-training capability Build limited equipment and parts redundancy and flexibility to meet production and maintain on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness 5. Efficient utilization of capital equipment Manage long-term capital expenditure plans Maintain preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to reduce/minimize equipment downtime 6. Coach, engage, and direct staff to deliver operational results that meet or exceed expectations Regular communication of updates, strategies, and results to the management team, staff, and plant employees Resulting in industry-leading levels of safety, quality, and on-time delivery Low turnover and absenteeism of full-time employees 7. Instill a culture of employee safety Implement clear safety policies Continuous employee training and leverage the use of a safety committee 8. Ensure compliance with all standards and certifications Maintain, follow, and continually upgrade MIOSHA and ISO certifications Maintain IATF certification Manage the assets and current liabilities of the balance sheet for the near-term and the long-term: Lead operational processes to improve asset utilization and required capital investment Efficiently manage inventory to maximize the return on our working capital investment Balance operational efficiency, equipment utilization, and equipment flexibility with capital investment, repair costs, and downtime.

Qualifications :
The successful candidate's educational background will include an undergraduate degree in operations management, business, or engineering. Experience utilizing continuous improvement tools, including Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping. Experience with change management and leadership of a manufacturing facility. General past demonstrated understanding and use of business P&L. Computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as demanstatable adaptions and use of AI tools. Continuing educational opportunities to fill gaps where a candidate's experience needs to be refreshed or improved.
