The Director of CDS Operations serves as the primary planner and coordinator of the operations of the vocational program. The Director of CDS Operations is adaptable, mission oriented, goal driven, highly organized, efficient, and exercises good judgment and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the developmental training site is in compliance with current policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations, and assist with ongoing development, reviews and revisions.
  • Develops an annual budget and operating plan that supports the strategic direction of the Agency.
  • Stay abreast of all HCBS, BQM, and BALC regulations for compliance purposes.
  • Participate in entrance and exit surveys for DHS.
  • Ensuring an on-going presence, alternating between sites.
  • Monitor and oversee QIDP paperwork to ensure file compliance and for QA purposes.
  • Act as a QIDP when needed (interim) and make changes when appropriate and provide to Senior VP.
  • Ensure that all clients are offered opportunities for community integration and that all clients rights are upheld and treated with dignity and respect.
  • Maintain monthly community outing calendars and activity schedules and document in accordance with HCBS regulations.
  • Ensure that the managers meets with the staff at least monthly to provide updates, changes, etc.; maintain meeting minutes.
  • Ensure efficient daily operations, providing intervention when needed. Have a comprehensive understanding of daily operations including routes, schedules, trips, and overall services.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with all employees.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 2 years (minimum) experience with running a Community Day Program
  • 2 years (minimum) experience supervising 20 or more employees
  • A Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in a Human Services field
  • Meet State educational requirements for a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional or have related experience
  • Will be required to become PACE certified
  • Will be required to be on call with open availability for urgent situations or events that extend outside of day program hours.
  • Must have presence on site and dependability.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and comply with company policy for driving vehicles
  • Be willing to accept and respect supervision and assume responsibility for assigned work, follow established policies and procedures and follow instructions
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and situations discretely and confidentially
  • Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of information
  • Project and goal orientation with strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
