Job Description

Job Description Position Summary:
Support the Accounting and Operations functions with cross functional responsibilities within the accounts payable, accounts receivable, trade promotion, logistics, supply chain, and customer service processes. Complete special projects as requested by the company's management team. The position reports to the VP Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process inbound invoices for company expenses, pull invoices for weekly check run, prepare checks for mailing.
  • Research and provide supporting documentation on customer deductions. Provide supporting documents for disputes. Prepare credit memos for approved deductions.
  • Confirm in\out bound freight and storage bills against authorized rates and shipments. Enter bills into QB for approval and payment.
  • Enter inbound receipts and close POs as directed within 1 day of receipt at US Cold.
  • Follow up with carriers to determine delivery status on inbounds and direct customer shipments.
  • Assist with cash application and check distribution.
  • Research and obtain BOL (proof of deliveries) on short shipment reports. Prepare and submit freight claims as required.
  • Assist in maintaining various QB, Discovery, and 1WorldSync product and pricing databases.
  • Provide occasional cross functional backup for Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Vendor, Customer, and Billing related files.
  • Maintain office and facility supplies.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree within Business, Accounting or Operations preferred, but not required.
  • QuickBooks or related software experience is required.
  • Detail orientated with strong organization skills.
  • Strong customer service attitude, good interpersonal skills, and possesses team approach to develop positive working relationships within and outside the company.
  • Strong excel skills including xlookups, pivot tables, and filters (or capability to develop these skills).
  • Understanding of "procure to pay" and "sales order billing" cycles required.
Benefits and Wages:
  • Position is hourly salary with range of $25-$30/hr.
