1. Primarily responsible for coordinating, logging assignments and facility schedules, conducting pre-arrival and post-departure inspections, ensuring cabins, dining hall, and program spaces meet camp standards, and serving as the primary operational contact for user groups. Exercises independent discretion and judgement in completion of duties and adherence to all policies. Supports and models the mission and values of Camp Wartburg and the Zero Tolerance of Abuse and Maltreatment of Children and ensuring a Safety First leadership at all times. This position requires on-site residency as a condition of employment. Housing is provided. Operations Coordinators participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24-hour operational coverage. During assigned on-call periods, the Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for: Guest support and hospitality standards Facility readiness troubleshooting Evening and weekend retreat oversight Coordinating with kitchen and maintenance staff Responding to operational or guest-related emergencies Residency outside assigned on-call rotation does not automatically place the employee on duty. 2. Provide supervision and oversight of Head Cook and food service staff, ensuring accurate meal counts, dietary accommodations, and compliance with health department regulations. Align food service labor with guest volume. 3.Monitor and manage food service and hospitality expenses within approved budget, preparing timely and accurate monthly reports for the Camp Director and alerting of any concerns. 4.Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, documenting incidents and notifying the Camp Director immediately. 5.Coordinate with Maintenance Coordinator regarding facility needs impacting guest use and overall hospitality standards. 6.Track and report preventable loss-of-usage incidents to support operational efficiency. 7.Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across all hospitality areas, including cabins, dining spaces, and program facilities. 8.Positively support all camp operations as required by the Director, assisting with retreats, user groups, and special events. 9.Participate in on-call rotations to provide guest support, troubleshoot facility readiness issues, and respond to operational or emergency needs during evenings and weekends. 10. Adhere to all policies and procedures related to boundaries with consumers and managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers, maintain appropriate relationships with consumers, attend all required training related to such and promptly report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations by employees, volunteers, interns and consumers to the Director and the HR Department. 11. May drive agency vehicles or transport staff, visitors or others around camp or outside of camp. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background checks, including but not limited to criminal background checks and CANTS (Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System) checks, as required by law and agency policy. Candidates must also possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license and must not have had a suspended or revoked driver's license within the past three years.Education and Experience:
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality management, recreation, business administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years' experience in hospitality, retreat center operations, camp administration, or a related field preferred. Valid driver's license and insurance required.Physical Demands and Other Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed in the job description satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Capable of operating standard office equipment, including a computer and keyboard, calculator, typical business machines such as a fax machine and copier. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to have valid driver's license, auto insurance and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
