Job Description

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:
About Us D'Orazio Capital Partners (DCP) is a privately held management company based in Burr Ridge, Illinois, overseeing a portfolio of manufacturing and industrial businesses. We provide operational leadership, financial oversight, and strategic support across our family of companies. With a lean, entrepreneurial team and a hands-on approach, we are focused on building long-term value and sustainable growth. About the Role We are seeking a Manager, Financial Operations to serve as the financial engine of our corporate team. This is a high-visibility, individual-contributor role - you will work directly alongside executive leadership, owning the day-to-day financial operations of the firm and taking on a body of work currently managed by the Managing Director. This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, close proximity to decision-makers, and exposure to multiple operating businesses - without the overhead of managing a team. We welcome candidates at a range of experience levels: whether you are a seasoned accountant seeking a stable, high-impact environment, or a strong mid-career professional ready to take a meaningful step forward. What You'll Do Prepare monthly financial statements and manage the general ledger and month-end close process. Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash activity across multiple entities. Handle or coordinate accounts payable, expense reporting, and payroll processing as needed. Prepare budget-to-actual and variance analyses that directly inform leadership decisions. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projection cycles. Coordinate the annual audit and tax preparation process with external advisors. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. Manage intercompany accounting and treasury-related functions. Support back-office administrative functions including 401(k) plan administration, employee benefits, commercial insurance (CGL, workers' comp, D&O/EPL), and entity compliance filings. Build and maintain financial models, management reports, and performance dashboards. Support due diligence and integration activities for new acquisitions. Partner with the Managing Director and portfolio company leaders to monitor key performance metrics.
Requirements:
What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree a plus. CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred. At least four years of progressive accounting experience in public and/or private accounting. Proficiency with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software. Advanced Excel skills (formulas, PivotTables, data analysis). Solid working knowledge of GAAP and internal control standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; comfort managing multiple priorities. Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior leadership. High degree of discretion in handling confidential financial and business information. Genuine interest in growing within a management company structure over the long term. Why DCP DCP offers a uniquely close-knit environment where your work has direct, visible impact. You will not be one layer removed from leadership - you will be working with them. If you are looking for a role where you can build something, own your function, and grow alongside a company that values performance over politics, we would love to hear from you.
