Service and Field Operations Manager Location:
Jeffersonville, Indiana (with Nationwide Travel)

$50,000 to $60,000 (Depending on Qualifications) Reports to: President and Chief Franchise Officer The Role Do you consider yourself a highly dedicated professional who takes immense pride in technical precision, always looking for ways to improve operational standards and sharing that knowledge to elevate the entire team? A-1 Concrete Leveling is seeking a high-discipline, mechanically masterful leader to join our team as a Service and Field Operations Manager . In this role, you will help define and be the guardian of the "A-1 Gold Standard." You are the collaborative bridge, translating the proven methods and A-1 standards, defined by 30 years of partnership and success with our franchisees, into high-quality, physical execution across all 50 nationwide locations. This is a unique opportunity to be the "Lead Professor" of our internal trade school. You will move new franchisees from classroom theory to field proficiency, ensuring our network operates with the highest levels of safety, mechanical efficiency, and service quality. This is a Field-First Leadership Role This is not a desk job. You are a "Lead by Example" professional. Your day could include leading a multi-day onboarding session for a new owner, performing a safety audit on a job site in Denver, fielding franchisee calls to troubleshoot a unique project scenario remotely, or working in the shop to diagnose a complex hydraulic pump issue.
Physical & Environmental Reality:
You must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and getting hands-on with grout-covered equipment. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and a willingness to "get dirty" to troubleshoot a machine or demonstrate a repair.

How You Will Spend Your Time To ensure this role is the perfect fit, we want to be transparent about the workload: 40%
Field Instruction & Onboarding:
Leading hands-on technical training for new franchisees. You teach the "A-1 Way" of concrete leveling, caulking, cleaning, sealing, and foundation repair. 30%
Mechanical R&D & Maintenance:
Acting as the mechanical authority for our truck systems. You develop maintenance training (how to rebuild pumps, replace valves, etc.) to minimize franchisee downtime. 20%
Travel & Performance Audits:
Traveling to franchise locations to conduct quality and procedure reviews. You identify "real-world" training gaps and ensure crews are following our established protocols. 10%
Safety & Compliance Leadership:
Defining and enforcing our safety standards (OSHA compliance, Lockout/Tagout, chemical safety) across the entire network. Key Responsibilities Service & Maintenance Training Develop and lead the hands-on efforts of "Grover University", our A-1 trade school-style apprenticeship program segments, moving trainees through specific technical milestones. Provide expert-level instruction on our unique all-in-one truck systems, focusing on service performance, hydraulics, electronics, vehicle maintenance, and grout pump operations. Collaborate to create "maintenance mastery" protocols, teaching franchisees how to troubleshoot and repair their own equipment to maximize uptime. Onboarding, Field Audits & Support Lead the intensive on-site technical onboarding for every new franchise location. Conduct nationwide "Quality Assurance" visits, grading franchise locations on their adherence to the A-1 standards of excellence and safety. Identify training gaps in the field and collaborate with the corporate Training Specialist to create new digital resources to fill those needs. Field franchisee calls to troubleshoot unique project scenarios or complex mechanical failures remotely. Safety & Operational Standard-Setting Own the safety culture of the company; implementing and teaching OSHA-compliant procedures for all systems, equipment, and materials handling. Work with the leadership team to refine truck designs and parts configurations for better ease of maintenance, longevity, and efficiency. Qualifications 10+
Years of Technical or Industrial Experience:
Extensive background in mechanical systems, hydraulics, or pumps.
Instructional Leadership:
Proven experience training large groups or leading "step-by-step" technical instruction (e.g., military, industrial, or trade school environments).
Mechanical Mastery:
High proficiency in hydraulics, engine repair, tool maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Operational Discipline:
A "Safety First" mindset with the ability to enforce strict standards and protocols. Ability to

Willingness to travel nationwide (estimated 30-50% travel) to support the franchise network. Bonus Skills (These make you stand out): Experience in developing or enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety compliance.
