Job Description

VU STEM Academy Camp chaperones work in partnership with the camp Coordinator to ensure campers have a positive experience at camp. Chaperones will be responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of campers in day-to-day operations of camp including overnight in the residence hall. Must be at least 18 years old and have completed one year of college by the beginning of camp. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic organizational skills. Available to be present entirety of camp. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers. Previous experience working with near-peers preferred.
