Job Description

Anheuser-Busch Wholesaler Operations Manager Seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse, delivery, fleet, inventory, safety, and compliance operations in a beverage distribution environment. This position requires a proven leader who can manage people, protect company assets, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience in beverage distribution, alcohol wholesale, or a closely related regulated distribution environment, with strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, FDA, workers' compensation, fleet compliance, employee drug testing, vehicle licensing and registration, and Kentucky ABC regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily operations across warehouse, delivery, routing, receiving, inventory control, fleet, facilities, and compliance. Supervise, train, coach warehouse staff, supervisors, and operations personnel. Ensure compliance with Kentucky ABC regulations, alcohol-handling procedures, DOT requirements, OSHA safety standards, FDA-related distribution practices, workers' compensation procedures, and company policies. Oversee fleet operations including vehicle maintenance, inspections, accident reporting, driver qualification files, insurance documentation, fleet vehicle licensing, registration, renewals, permits, and compliance records. Manage employee safety programs, incident investigations, corrective actions, safety meetings, and required documentation. Administer and monitor company drug and alcohol testing programs, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return-to-duty testing as applicable by company policy and law. Maintain accurate inventory procedures including receiving, picking, loading, product rotation, returns, breakage, shortages, and discrepancy resolution. Partner with sales, finance, HR, and senior leadership to improve service levels, reduce errors, control labor costs, and support company growth. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, urgency, and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of operations leadership experience in beverage distribution, alcohol wholesale, beer/wine/spirits distribution, or a regulated wholesale distribution environment. Strong working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, FDA, workers' compensation, employee drug testing, fleet safety, vehicle licensing and registration, warehouse safety, and alcohol distribution compliance. Experience managing drivers, warehouse teams, supervisors, inventory, routing, delivery operations, and fleet compliance. Knowledge of Kentucky ABC requirements or prior alcohol industry compliance experience. Ability to lead teams, enforce standards, document performance, and make sound operational decisions. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. Must be able to pass company background, employment, motor vehicle, drug/alcohol, and compliance screening requirements. Must be legally eligible to work in an alcohol distribution environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WMS, routing software, inventory systems, handheld scanners, and fleet management platforms. Forklift, CDL, safety, logistics, or compliance certifications are a plus. Prior experience in beer, wine, spirits, or beverage distribution strongly preferred.
