Director of Operations Location:

Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations of a leading behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment organization. This individual will provide leadership across multiple departments, ensuring high-quality patient care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in addiction treatment, healthcare operations, and managing multidisciplinary teams within a residential treatment setting. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of residential substance use disorder treatment programs. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and accreditation requirements. Partner with clinical leadership to maintain exceptional patient care outcomes and patient satisfaction. Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols. Lead department managers and hold teams accountable for performance, quality, and compliance metrics. Manage staffing plans, scheduling, productivity, and workforce development initiatives. Monitor census, admissions, discharges, utilization management, and length-of-stay metrics. Collaborate with business development, admissions, utilization review, and clinical teams to optimize patient access and continuity of care. Oversee facility operations, safety programs, vendor relationships, and capital improvement initiatives. Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with Medicaid, Medicare (where applicable), private insurance, managed care organizations, and self-pay requirements. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Behavioral Health, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare, or residential treatment operations. Strong knowledge of Medicaid, commercial insurance reimbursement, utilization management, admissions processes, and regulatory compliance. Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple departments. Proven ability to lead through growth, change management, and performance improvement initiatives. Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and operational reporting experience. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CARF, and Massachusetts regulatory standards preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Pay:
$115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
