The Guest Experience Associate plays a key role in delivering a refined, high-touch hospitality experience while supporting the seamless day-to-day operation of Doctor Sax House. This position requires a detail-oriented, service-driven individual who takes pride in creating thoughtful, memorable guest experiences across all areas of the hotel, including front desk, events, and food & beverage.Responsibilities:
Guest Experience Provide a warm, personalized, and professional welcome to all guests, creating a strong first impression of the property Proactively communicate with guests via Whistle ahead of their stay to confirm details, answer questions, and enhance their arrival experience Prepare guest rooms prior to arrival, including welcome cards, thoughtful touches, and final room checks to ensure readiness and presentation Deliver attentive, high-level service throughout the entire guest journey, from pre-arrival to departure Curate and provide a printed "What's Happening in the Berkshires" guide each week to enhance the guest experience Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer solutions or enhancements to elevate their stay Contribute creative ideas and thoughtful touches that enhance the overall guest experience and reflect the property's brand Assist in planning and executing special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) with care and attention to detail. (ie half bottles in the rooms, fresh flowers, etc.) Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a solutions-oriented mindset Maintain a consistently polished and elevated front-of-house presence at all times Adhere to dress code and grooming standards reflective of a luxury hospitality environment Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all guest-facing areas (e.g., refreshed flowers, lighting, music, smell, ambiance, cleanliness) Operations Support Lead daily hotel operations with a focus on efficiency, organization, and presentation Perform daily walkthroughs of all guest-facing areas, including outdoor spaces, parlor, bar, and common areas, ensuring each space feels clean, warm, and inviting Ensure all guest-facing areas consistently meet high standards of cleanliness, organization, and readiness Monitor bathrooms, common areas, and guest rooms to ensure they are clean, stocked, and guest-ready at all times Identify and address any issues proactively, taking ownership or escalating when necessary Assist management in maintaining a seamless, organized, and elevated operational flow across the property Events & Property Experience Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown as needed, ensuring a high level of detail and presentation Prepare event spaces to align with the property's aesthetic and service standards Support a smooth and refined experience for all event guests through attentiveness and teamwork Anticipate event needs and assist in resolving issues quickly and discreetly Restaurant & Service Support Support food & beverage operations during peak service periods as needed Assist in maintaining a high standard of service, presentation, and guest interaction within the restaurant Help ensure a smooth and efficient service flow in collaboration with the food & beverage team Step in where needed to support overall guest satisfaction Additional Expectations Uphold a high standard of professionalism, appearance, and communication at all times Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a genuine pride in the guest experience Be adaptable and willing to support all areas of the property as needed Take initiative, show ownership, and proactively contribute to the success of the team Continuously look for opportunities to improve operations, service, and overall guest satisfaction Growth Opportunity This role is designed for individuals seeking to build a long-term career in hospitality leadership.
