Job Description

Multi-Unit General Manager District Kitchen & Bar + PUBLIC eat+drink Berkshire County, Massachusetts Compensation $130,000-$160,000 total compensation (base salary + performance bonus) The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Multi-Unit General Manager to oversee two established, high-volume independent restaurants in the Berkshires. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on building strong teams, driving profitability, implementing systems, and creating operational excellence. The ideal candidate is equal parts operator, coach, and business strategist. You'll work directly with ownership to improve performance across both locations while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and a strong workplace culture. Key Objectives Success in this role will be measured by: Growing top-line revenue Increasing restaurant profitability Reducing controllable costs Implementing scalable systems and procedures Developing and retaining high-performing managers Improving accountability and operational consistency Strengthening guest satisfaction and online reputation ResponsibilitiesBusiness Performance Own P&L performance for both restaurants Analyze financial results and identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement Develop and execute plans to increase sales, traffic, and guest frequency Monitor labor, food, beverage, and operating costs Establish measurable KPIs and hold management teams accountable Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, train, and develop management staff as needed Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions Build leadership depth within both organizations Resolve employee issues quickly and professionally Operations Ensure consistent execution of service, food quality, and hospitality standards Standardize systems and procedures across both locations where appropriate Oversee scheduling, staffing levels, inventory controls, and purchasing Improve efficiency and eliminate operational bottlenecks Maintain compliance with all health, safety, labor, and licensing requirements Revenue Growth Partner with ownership on marketing and promotional initiatives Identify opportunities to increase guest counts, check averages, and repeat business Oversee private events, catering opportunities, and community partnerships Evaluate menu performance and pricing strategies alongside culinary leadership Qualifications 5+ years of senior restaurant management experience Multi-unit management experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success improving restaurant profitability Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of P&L management Experience managing managers and building leadership teams Proven ability to create systems, processes, and accountability structures Strong communication and organizational skills Hospitality-first mindset combined with strong business discipline Ideal Candidate You are: Highly accountable and results-oriented Comfortable making difficult decisions Analytical and data-driven Skilled at motivating teams and developing leaders Focused on continuous improvement Equally comfortable in the dining room, the kitchen, and the financial statements What We Offer Competitive compensation package of $130,000-$160,000 annually Significant performance-based bonus opportunity High level of autonomy and decision-making authority Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on two well-established restaurants Direct partnership with ownership on strategy and growth initiatives To Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief note outlining: Your multi-unit management experience A specific example of improving profitability at a restaurant operation Why this opportunity interests you
