Located in the bustling Assembly Row district of Somerville, our hotel offers an energetic atmosphere surrounded by premier shopping, diverse dining options, scenic waterfront views, and easy access to the Orange Line. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader eager to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the dynamic vibe and amenities of this thriving community. This is not a behind-the-desk role. Our leaders are visible, engaged, and hands-on , working alongside their teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences every single day. Why This Role Matters As Director of Operations , you will be a key leader responsible for ensuring seamless daily operations while inspiring teams to consistently deliver memorable guest experiences. You will partner closely with the General Manager to help drive operational excellence across Front Office, Housekeeping, Accounting, Food & Beverage and Engineering , ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the Autograph brand and Colwen Hotels' commitment to service. A primary focus will be an oversight of the Front Office and Accounting. This role is perfect for a hospitality professional ready to step into broader leadership responsibility and grow within a company that values initiative, ideas, and career advancement. What You'll Be Doing You'll play a central role in the hotel's success by: Leading daily hotel operations across all key departments Driving a culture of exceptional guest service Coaching and developing associates to reach their full potential Supporting recruiting, hiring, and team engagement initiatives Assisting in achieving financial goals and operational performance Ensuring brand standards and service excellence are consistently delivered Maintaining a positive, respectful, and motivating work environment Conducting daily property walks to ensure quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction What You Bring We're looking for a leader who combines operational expertise with genuine hospitality .
Ideal candidates will have:
