Job Description

Job Summary The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce is seeking an organized, energetic, and customer-focused professional to join our team as Membership & Operations Coordinator. This full-time position plays an important role in supporting local businesses, coordinating Chamber programs and events, assisting members, maintaining membership records, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of one of Garrett County's most visible and respected organizations. As a key member of our team, the Membership & Operations Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for Chamber members and visitors while helping deliver programs and services that support the business community and promote Garrett County as a premier place to live, work, play, and visit. Responsibilities Serving as a primary point of contact for Chamber members, visitors, and the public Maintaining membership records and databases and ensuring information remains accurate and up-to-date Assisting with membership renewals, new member onboarding, and member communications Preparing new member packets, membership materials, decals, and informational resources Coordinating ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and other member recognition events Assisting with Business Before Hours, Business After Hours, Lunch & Learns, the Annual Membership Meeting & Dinner, and other Chamber events Providing administrative support including meeting preparation, board support, mail processing, supply management, and office coordination Assisting with website updates, member listings, social media promotion, and marketing materials Supporting conference room reservations, event registrations, and visitor services Providing on-site support at Chamber events, including occasional evening and weekend responsibilities Experience Associate's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered. Minimum two years of administrative, customer service, office management, membership services, or related experience preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn Chamber management, event registration, website, and database software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Professional appearance and demeanor. Knowledge of Garrett County businesses, attractions, and community organizations preferred.
Pay:
$38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
