Job Description

Michigan School HiringExecutive Director of School Operations Michigan School is seeking a full-time Executive Director of School Operations . This is a senior leadership position responsible for supporting the school's overall daily operations, academic management, student services, clinical operations, human resources, admissions, marketing development, financing support, government relations, regulatory approvals, grant applications, and future school expansion and acquisition projects. This is not a single-department position. It is a comprehensive leadership role for someone who can help manage, coordinate, and develop the school as a whole. Position Title Executive Director of School Operations Key Responsibilities1. School Operations Management Oversee and coordinate the school's daily operations, internal workflow, department communication, administrative processes, policy implementation, and operational efficiency to ensure the school runs smoothly and professionally. 2. Academic Management Assist with academic program management, course scheduling, instructor coordination, curriculum implementation, academic quality control, teaching progress tracking, academic documentation, and learning system operations. 3. Student Management Support student enrollment, registration, attendance, academic records, grades, graduation progress, student services, student communication, student issue resolution, and student file management. 4. Clinical Management Assist with clinical education, student practicum, clinic operations, appointment coordination, clinical documentation, student clinical hours, client services, and clinical compliance requirements. 5. Human Resources Support recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, evaluation, communication, and daily management of instructors, staff, part-time employees, and external collaborators. 6. Admissions Management Participate in admissions planning, student inquiry follow-up, application processing, enrollment conversion, admissions documentation, open house events, and coordination with the admissions team. 7. Marketing and Business Development Support marketing campaigns, brand development, community outreach, online and offline promotion, social media marketing, event planning, partnership development, and overall school visibility. 8. Financing and Resource Development Assist with financing-related work, including preparing project materials, supporting business plan development, coordinating investor communication, connecting resources, and advancing partnership opportunities. 9. Government Relations, Regulatory Approvals, and Compliance Assist with government relations, regulatory communication, school licensing, program approvals, compliance documentation, license renewal, government filings, and related administrative matters. 10. Grant Applications Research, prepare, and assist with applications for education, workforce development, community service, healthcare, nonprofit, and government-related grant opportunities. Track application progress and support required reporting. 11. School Expansion, Partnerships, and Acquisitions Participate in future development projects, including new campus expansion, institutional partnerships, business collaboration, school acquisition, operational integration, and Michigan School development initiatives. 12. Cross-Department Project Management Lead and coordinate important school projects across academics, administration, admissions, marketing, clinic operations, human resources, finance, compliance, and external partnerships. Qualifications Master's degree or above required. U.S. educational background preferred. Fluent in English and Chinese, with strong communication, writing, and coordination skills. Background in medicine, healthcare, management, education, public administration, business administration, or related fields preferred. Experience in a school, college, vocational training institution, healthcare facility, clinic, or related organization preferred. More than 10 years of experience in education management, school operations, project management, or related leadership experience preferred. Familiarity with the U.S. education system, vocational education, school operations, student services, or regulatory compliance preferred. Experience with government projects, grant applications, regulatory approvals, admissions, marketing, financing support, or business development preferred. Strong organizational, execution, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced school environment. High level of responsibility, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. OPT candidates are welcome and supported. This person should understand the connection between school operations, student services, academic quality, team management, compliance, marketing, admissions, and future expansion. The ideal candidate should be able to: Manage complex school operations Coordinate multiple departments and teams Communicate professionally in both English and Chinese Prepare and organize official documents Solve problems independently Build and improve systems, procedures, and workflows Represent the school professionally when communicating with external organizations, government agencies, partners, and community groups
