We're excited to find a friendly and experienced Event Captain to lead our service staff and at time aboard our beautiful 65-foot, two-story cruise boat on the lovely Gull Lake! This isn't just a job; it's a chance to create amazing moments for our guests while enjoying a fun and lively environment. As our Event Captain, you'll be the heart of our team, making sure that every public and private event or cruise, whether it's a dreamy wedding or a lively corporate outing, goes off without a hitch. You'll be the go-to person for both our clients and staff, spreading joy and professionalism at every event. Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and energize our service staff throughout setup, service, and breakdown, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Serve as the go-to contact for clients and vendors, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication. Bring event timelines, floor plans, and service standards to life with precision and flair. Oversee food and beverage service, guaranteeing the highest quality and eye-catching presentations. Tackle challenges head-on, resolving issues with professionalism and poise. Share valuable post-event feedback with management to continually elevate our service.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality, catering, or event service—leadership experience is a plus! Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that shine in a fast-paced environment. A calm and professional demeanor, even under pressure. An eagle-eyed attention to detail and a commitment to putting guests first. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays—is your schedule ready for excitement? Food safety and alcohol service certifications are advantageous, but we're happy to support you in obtaining them!
