  • Field Services role is accountable for the performance, scalability, and operational excellence of all field-based service delivery, including Audio Visual (AV) installation, Physical Security, and Cabling/Fiber/Low Voltage services.
This role owns the end-to-end operating model for field services ensuring efficient utilization of resources, consistent delivery quality, strong margin performance, and adherence to safety and operational standards. The Practice Lead translates business demand into executable field operations by partnering with Sales, Professional Services, and Managed Services, while enforcing clear feasibility and delivery discipline. Success in this role is measured by operational outcomes—utilization, margin performance, delivery quality, and customer satisfaction—achieved through a structured, scalable, and highly disciplined field services organization. Practice Leadership and Operational Ownership Own the overall performance of the Field Services practice, including utilization, backlog, margin, and quality outcomes. Establish and maintain a scalable operating model across AV, Physical Security, and Cabling/Fiber delivery. Align field services capacity with business demand, balancing workload across geographies and service types. Drive continuous improvement in execution efficiency, reducing rework, delays, and unnecessary truck rolls. Demonstrate the High Point Vision, Purpose & Mission each day Live out the core values of Character, Humility, Unity, Growth & Service in every interaction Build and mentor high-performing leaders Resource and Capacity Management Oversee field resource planning in partnership with Dispatch to ensure optimal scheduling and utilization. Balance capacity across AV, Physical Security, and Cabling teams to smooth peaks and valleys in demand. Define subcontractor usage strategies when demand exceeds internal capacity. Monitor and manage key operational metrics including utilization, project duration, and estimate-to-actual performance. Estimating and Intake Discipline Oversee the Field Solutions Manager function to ensure consistent, accurate, and disciplined estimating practices. Ensure all work is supported by clear scope definitions, labor assumptions, and material requirements before execution. Drive accountability for change order discipline when scope deviates from original estimates. Support a controlled bid-sourcing motion aligned with business priorities and capacity constraints. Execution Excellence and Field Leadership Lead and develop foremen and field team leads across all service lines. Ensure foremen execute strong jobsite supervision, including productivity, safety, quality, and closeout readiness. Define clear expectations for onsite execution, sequencing, and issue escalation. Promote a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and pride in field delivery. Safety and Quality Management Establish and enforce safety standards, ensuring compliance across all field operations. Ensure consistent adherence to company and industry standards for installations and certifications. Oversee quality control processes to ensure customer expectations and contractual obligations are met. Drive improvements in first-time quality and reduction in field rework Stakeholder Collaboration Support Account Managers by providing capacity insights, feasibility validation, and delivery input for opportunities. Collaborate with Professional Services and Managed Services to ensure seamless project delivery and customer lifecycle transitions. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and partners supporting field delivery.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Installation practices, standards, and safety requirements in physical infrastructure environments. Estimating methodologies, labor modeling, and material planning. Project coordination in multi-site and multi-technology environments. Resource utilization and capacity planning concepts. Skills Operational leadership and execution management. Resource planning and workload balancing. Problem-solving and escalation management. Cross-functional collaboration with sales and delivery teams. Process design and continuous improvement. Abilities Translate business demand into structured, executable field work. Balance competing priorities across teams, geographies, and customers. Enforce discipline while maintaining team engagement and accountability. Build scalable processes that support growth without adding unnecessary complexity. Lead teams through change while maintaining operational stability. Qualifications 8-12+ years of experience in field services, infrastructure delivery, or related operational leadership roles. Proven experience managing physical infrastructure teams (AV, cabling, or physical security preferred). Demonstrated success in improving utilization, delivery quality, and operational efficiency. Experience working in a services-driven organization (project-based and/or managed services environments). Strong understanding of estimating, field operations, and jobsite execution. Experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across the organization.
