Provides leadership and direction to the manufacturing team in a manner that ensures the operation meets or exceeds customer requirements as well as all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
Supervises staff to produce manufactured products, and organizes and monitors workflow. Ensure proper attendance of all staff, and discipline when necessary. Work with HR on performance management, disciplinary processes, and all other employee relations issues. Interview potential candidates including: evaluating, site tours, and making final decision on hiring. Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Responsible for overall facility operations to include blow molding, thermoplastic, thermoset, product fulfillment, fuel cell, maintenance and tool room ensuring that customer production requirements are met, costs are controlled and quality/regulatory requirements are met while maintaining operational effectiveness and efficiency. Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requests. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Partner with Director of Engineering, Director of Supply Chain, Director of Quality to ensure new product process and procedures are followed and product launch schedules are met. High School diploma/GED; Degree in relevant field will be an advantage 2-4 years' relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment Prior supervisory experience Organizational and leadership abilities Communication and interpersonal skills

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
