- Central Minnesota Part-Time, Salaried (W-2)
- Plus commission on booked gatherings About Huckberry Farm Huckberry Farm is a working horse farm and homestead in Central Minnesota where leadership teams, founders, and small organizations come together for uniquely curated gatherings.
We aren't a venue to be rented out — we focus on hosting. Each gathering is built around a real outcome the group is hoping for: whether it be a leadership team that needs to get realigned and back on mission, or a founder group looking for honest perspectives from fellow peers. We bring those gatherings to life around a long table, connected conversation, chef-prepared meals, a fire circle, and the unhurried rhythm of the farm. We're small and intentional by design — our plan is to host 3-4 gatherings each month in the first year. We're now hiring for the person who will carry each experience forward from start to finish. About This Role The Director of Gatherings is the host, the storyteller, and the relationship-builder who brings each gathering to life. You'll own every guest's experience from the first inquiry to the handwritten note after they leave, and you'll build the relationships that bring the right groups to the farm. The owner will handle the behind-the-scenes operations through your first year, so you can focus entirely on guests, hosting, and building demand. We're looking for someone who can: Make a stranger feel genuinely welcome and completely at ease Turn an inquiry into a booked gathering through real conversation, not a hard sell Design an experience around what a group actually needs to leave with Hold the room as a host — reading the moment, setting the pace, honoring the close Build lasting relationships that bring new groups to the farm year after year What You'll Be Doing Booking Gatherings You own the path from first inquiry to a confirmed date: Respond personally to every inquiry Lead discovery conversations focused on the group's needs (the outcome) Build a network of trusted referral sources — coaches, founder peers, advisors, and partners Grow the calendar toward 10-15 gatherings in year one, and beyond Owning the Guest Journey You make every guest feel seen, start to finish: Manage the full experience
- from first email to the follow-up after the gathering Guide each group through our simple four-step rhythm: listen, design, host, reflect Keep every gathering personal, consistent, and true to what it promised Designing Each Gathering You shape each gathering around the group's goal: Create the vision for gatherings based on intake from clients Partner with chefs, facilitators, musicians, and local vendors to bring it to life Tailor the details to the group every single time Hosting the Gatherings You're the face of Huckberry Farm on the property: Welcome guests, set the tone, and lead the overall experience Read the room, honor the moment, and protect the pace Facilitate and lead group conversations in order to spark change, foster relationships, and deepen connection Supporting Operations You partner closely with the owner, who handles the back office: Hand off logistics•scheduling, contracts, vendors, property Keep the scorecard up to date Respect the guidelines that keep the farm and the experience running well Who We're Looking For You're a natural host — the kind of person friends count on to bring people together.
You're warm, calm, and genuinely curious about people. You're comfortable with sales, but you do it by building trust and listening well, not by pushing. You care about doing things with intention, you're at home in a rural, outdoor setting, and you find real meaning in creating experiences that bring people closer together. Most of our guests are business leaders and founders, so you're confident and at ease around accomplished people — and discerning with what you see and hear. What You Bring 2-4 years in a hospitality, events, or guest-experience role Experience planning and facilitating events, retreats, or group experiences A track record of building relationships that lead to bookings, referrals, or repeat business Comfort with nature, the outdoors, and the rhythms of rural life A genuine interest in people and in fostering intentional conversation Confidence working with senior leaders, founders, and executives Based in or near the Central Minnesota area Nice to Have Experience selling or coordinating premium, high-touch experiences An existing network among business leaders, founders, coaches, or advisors A background in food, wine, or working alongside chefs and culinary partners Familiarity with farm, ranch, or outdoor hospitality settings Comfort with light storytelling — photography or social content drawn from the farm What This Can Grow Into This role starts part-time and intentionally focused. As the calendar grows, so does the role. There's a clear path to a larger leadership seat — more gatherings, broader responsibility, expanded compensation, and a real hand in shaping where Huckberry Farm goes next. We're building something meant to last, and we're looking for the right person to grow with it. The Details Type —Part-time, W-2 salaried employee Pay — Starting at $38,000
